The world’s biggest gaming expo, E3, brought with it quite a bit of news on the sneaker front as well. The Xbox x Air Jordan 1 mid created a stir when it was spotted on the floor of the convention. Microsoft distributed the shoe to spokespeople and influencers and it stole the show. There are now official images of the sneaker and it is certainly something gamers and sneakerheads alike can appreciate.
With a green/black upper that is made of premium suede, the eye is drawn to the Xbox x Air Jordan 1 mid. There are Xbox accents all around, with co-branded insoles and laces featuring the Xbox logo on the tips.
The highlight of the sneaker is undoubtedly the green glow in the dark outsole. Seeing the green beam coming from the bottom of the shoe is very reminiscent of the Xbox One’s power-up feature.
The Xbox x Air Jordan 1 Mid has four different lace types – two shades of green, a black and a grey. All the Jordan branding typically associated with any version of the Air Jordan 1 is prominently featured. Also, at E3, Sony released the PlayStation Air Force 1. There is no information about the release date for the Xbox x Air Jordan 1, but keep an eye out for more information.
Xbox’s collaboration with Jordan Brand was no surprise after the two teamed up earlier this year on the Air Jordan 3 Retro.
