Derrick Rose has had a resurgent season for the Minnesota Timberwolves and now his long-running sneaker brand with Adidas may also get a jolt of life. Earlier this month, an all-black colorway of the D Rose 10 was spotted on the namesake’s feet as he warmed up prior to a game against the Orlando Magic.
There are various elements pulled together from other Rose sneakers to make this tenth edition truly a celebration of his career. The tongues have an enlarged version of his logo and the 3-Stripes are very visible on the heels.
There is no Boost cushioning evident on the shoe, which is consistent with a switch made on the D Rose 9. No release date has been made official, but ESPN reporter Nick DePaula said in August that they are coming sometime this season.
Rose is one of just eight NBA players to have ten signature shoes released consecutively with the same brand. After becoming a league MVP, he signed a massive 13-year contract extension with Adidas back in 2012.
