Virgil Abloh’s Off-White label recently paid homage to one of the all-time greats in tennis. In advance of the 50th U.S. Open last month, they released “The Queen Collection” for Serena Williams.
The grouping of items features three pairs of shoes and apparel. One of the sneakers, the NikeCourt Flare 2, was worn on-court by Serena, while another, the Air Max 97s, was released to the public at the onset of the tournament.
There was also a pair of Blazers, adorned in a combination of purple, grey and pink that never made it to shelves. Nike has now released an official set of images that provides many the update they have been waiting for.
No official release information has been made public, but a drop could be imminent. While Serena may not have added another Grand Slam title to her resume, this package of items now finally has a chance to be completed.
