Virgil Abloh Collaborates With Nike and Serena Williams
The 50th U.S. Open begins later this month and tennis superstar Serena Williams will be well outfitted by Nike. They have three sneaker styles designed for Williams: the NikeCourt Flare 2, The Ten: Nike Air Max 97 and The Ten: Nike Blazer Mid SW.

Each of the shoes will have signature off-white detailing. Williams will sport the PE version of the NikeCourt Flare 2 during the tournament. The Two Ten colorways will be available to the public for purchase. They will retail for $130 and be sold at select locations coinciding with the start of the Open.

The shoes are part of the overall "Queen Collection" which includes a performance tennis dress and jacket from Virgil Abloh. Abloh is an off-white designer that first started working with Nike last year when they redesigned ten different sneakers. Designers from Abloh and NikeCourt originally met up in Paris to go through ideas for the dress. Williams got involved in the process as well and chose specific features that spoke to her.

Williams will be rocking apparel from both brands while she goes for her seventh U.S. Open crown. She has been a brand ambassador with Nike since 2003.
